resources for you

Hey friend!

Welcome to my little corner of the internet where I like to talk about the intersectional space of mindful tidying, conscious parenting, and awakened “life-ing.”

Well guess what? I have that same goal of discovering and sharing that with you.

Every week, I spend an “ish” number of hours (ADHD time blindness, amiright?) reading about or listening to the whys and how’s about decluttering our homes and hearts, while trying to get better at it myself.

So I figured I’d share some resources I found this week with you…

Tidying Nerd-Fest:

I just read “More Than Pretty Boxes: How the Rise of Professional Organizing Shows Us the Way We Work Isn't Working” by Carrie M Lane so you don’t have to 📦

A big takeaway is that professional organizing came about as a reaction to women suffering the gendered, double-bind of always acquiring the status symbols of the times, and then constantly curating the collection as trends change.

No wonder I, most women I know, and our bank accounts, are depleted all the damn time! 💸

Parenting Fail Humor:

Or click this link to see Sarah Blakely share a hilarious story about how we parents say the silliest crap to our kids.

Oops, she’ll be paying for that in their therapy bill later! (Maybe I will too…) 🤦🏻‍♀️

Life Leveling-Up Opportunity:

And last, click here if you’re feeling pulled into too many directions 🙋🏻‍♀️ AND are ready to embark on a joy-check challenge. This is an opportunity to use the KonMari Method on your life. I’m loving the invitation to dissect what’s worth keeping or not, so I can move forward with clarity into the next year. 🔎

Happy browsing!

Carrie’s amazing deep-dive into culture and history about professional organizing. Click the image above or this link to shop on Bookshop.org, which support independent bookstores.

Marie Kondo and I meeting in Japan in June 2026! 💖✨
