why i love coaching/organizing/parenting
Hey friend.
It’s Wednesday so as per usual, I’m sitting at my home office with Mr. Sprinkles Meow Meow and emailing you. Thanks for letting me be in your inbox, BTW. I love writing to you and hope over time, I can really get to know you and journey together on our organizing & parenting saga.
And speaking of journeying…I want to share some of the reasons that I love working in the coaching industry in the first place
First and foremost, I love working with people like you, pal. WHY? I am just bursting with a boatload of empathy that wants to go somewhere, especially to people like myself who spent a lifetime being raised by parents who didn’t value a child’s inner spirit and now are in adulthood hiding their struggles from the world, unable to ask for help. It’s that stuckness that I am laser focused on finding and rooting out because life is too short. That’s where my life coaching comes in!
AND I love helping parents who feel the same stuckness in their interactions with their little ones. Our kids deserve to be parented by the best version of ourselves, so I offer conscious parenting sessions as a means for self-transformation.
AND I love helping disorganized folks see their chronic state of chaos is tameable with lots of teamwork between us. Using the world-famous KonMari Method™ by Marie Kondo, I have helped myself and others declutter mindfully, filling their spaces with joy! It’s such a flexible system that anyone, from very young children to older peeps, can all understand and do.
Somehow these three things meld together into my weird hybrid coaching practice LOL 🫠
How are we here, you might ask? So I got into all this through my own healing journey in therapy, working through my depression and its root causes. And while I thought I would always end up running the family fishing business for the rest of my life, eventually I realized that was an emotional takeover by people whose lives were also hijacked. So I had to break the generational patterns and go solo, with no bosses overriding my inner voice! BOOYAH! 📣
Funnily I am very much like my father in this way, when he started his business 40+ years ago; but unfortunately it’s an industry I lack passion for. But what really fires me up is listening to people and their stories, and then helping them turn things around through coaching.
